In the CEEPUS freemover application type, Students and Teachers with active status at any Hungarian higher education institution can submit an application for a mobility for study or teaching purposes to any accredited higher education institution in a CEEPUS member country. Current call for applications 2025/2026. autumn and spring semester

  • How to submit the application: On the central CEEPUS application platform.
  • Language of the application: English.
  • Before applying and - in the case of a winning application - before leaving, the applicant is responsible for knowing the entry regulations of the given destination country and the domestic epidemiological measures in force at all times, as well as the guidelines of the sending and receiving institutions, and for coordinating the reception readiness of the receiving institution.
  • The winning applicant receives the scholarship from the receiving country, the amount of which varies from country to country. You can inquire at the national office of the receiving country regarding the evaluation of applications, scholarships, studies/education abroad, and finding a receiving institution.
  • The current amounts of the scholarships, the contact details of the national offices of the receiving countries, and other useful information can be found on the central application platform by clicking on the flags of the countries.
  • A list of institutions with active CEEPUS relationships in each country is also available under the Find menu item.
  • You can find out about the mandatory documents to be uploaded for the Freemover application here.
  • Central application submission deadline:
    • for the autumn semester: 2025. July 1.
    • for the spring semester: 2025. November 1.
  • The deadline for submitting applications may vary by country.
